Enhance Control Panel Updated to 12.20.0 β€” Recent Platform Improvements Now Live at lbreeze

Following our previous announcement of Enhance Control Panel 12.17.0, we have continued to track upstream releases and apply key updates across our hosting infrastructure. All lbreeze hosting environments are now running Enhance 12.20.0, including important improvements introduced in versions 12.18.0, 12.19.0 and 12.20.0.

Below is a concise overview of the most relevant changes now active on our platform.

Enhance 12.20.0 — Latest Platform Update

Upstream release date: 20th March 2026

Enhanced

  • Per‑server Roundcube auto‑updates: The per‑server Roundcube instance (used for https://mail.domain) now automatically updates to the latest supported Roundcube version (currently 1.6.14), improving long‑term security and maintenance.
  • UI reliability during role installation: Minor UI rendering issues during role installation have been resolved, improving the stability of control panel operations while roles are being deployed or updated.

These changes are now fully applied across lbreeze mail and control panel servers, further hardening our webmail stack and operational workflows.

Enhance 12.19.0 — PHP & Onboarding Improvements

Upstream release date: 18th March 2026

Enhanced

  • Default PHP 8.3 for central services: Central Roundcube and phpMyAdmin now default to PHP 8.3, aligning core tooling with a modern, supported PHP branch.
  • Bulk PHP version updates for service websites: Service websites can now have their PHP version changed using the bulk update tool, simplifying fleet‑wide PHP upgrades and consistency.
  • Onboarding help card persistence: The onboarding help card can now be permanently dismissed across all devices (after a hard refresh), reducing visual noise for returning users.
  • Joomla installer password support: The Joomla one‑click installer now supports 10‑character passwords, improving compatibility with stricter password policies.
  • Swap limit flexibility: Swap limit (system resource) can now be set to 0, giving more granular control over resource allocation on packages and servers.

On lbreeze infrastructure, these changes translate into smoother PHP lifecycle management, better onboarding UX, and more precise resource tuning for hosted workloads.

Enhance 12.18.0 — New Joomla Installer & PHP Defaults

Upstream release date: 16th March 2026

Added

  • Joomla one‑click installer: Joomla is now available as a one‑click install option whenever “Allow software installer” is enabled on a package. This is now available to lbreeze customers on compatible hosting plans.

Enhanced

  • Default PHP 8.3 for new websites and packages: New websites and packages now default to PHP 8.3, ensuring modern performance and security out of the box.
  • Improved DNS naming flexibility: Underscores are now valid in NS names, offering more flexibility for advanced DNS configurations.

These enhancements are already reflected in new lbreeze hosting deployments, giving customers immediate access to Joomla and a secure, up‑to‑date PHP baseline.

Operational Notes for lbreeze Customers

  • Cluster‑wide consistency: All relevant servers in our Enhance cluster have been upgraded in line with upstream guidance to avoid version mismatches and undefined behaviour.
  • Modern PHP stack: New sites and key service components now run on PHP 8.3 by default, with controlled upgrade paths for existing workloads.
  • Improved webmail & control panel UX: Roundcube auto‑updates, language pack improvements, and UI fixes collectively improve day‑to‑day usability.

If you have specific requirements around PHP versions, Joomla availability, or DNS configuration, you can review your current hosting package settings from your lbreeze client area or contact support for tailored guidance.
