Is this really KVM?
Yes — full hardware virtualisation with your own kernel. You can run containers, a different libc, or something unusual, because it is your machine rather than a namespace on ours.
Can I resize later?
Yes, within 1 to 32 vCPU, 512 MB to 256 GB of memory and 10 GB to 2 TB of disk. An order that names no size gets the plan's size; a size beyond the plan is refused rather than quietly billed.
Do I get a public IPv4 address?
Where the plan includes one, yes. If your plan does not, ask — it is an allowance rather than a hard limit of the platform.
What if I lock myself out?
You can rebuild from a snapshot. That is the fastest route back and it is why snapshots are on by default rather than something to opt into.
