Kontrol7

Hosting, under control. The hosting control panel your customers log into, on servers you own: websites, mail, DNS, databases, backups, virtual machines, object storage and AI endpoints, with unlimited customers and sites. Add a server in one paste, give it a job, and it stays the way you set it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost, and what counts as a node?

Kontrol7 is priced per node, per month, from ten nodes, and the price is the same whether you run ten or a thousand. Your licence covers the number of nodes you subscribe to, you can raise it whenever you need more, and a removed node stops counting. Customers and sites are unlimited.

A node is any server you have added, until you remove it. Web, database, DNS and backups can share a server; mail always has one of its own.

Can I run it on servers I already have?

Yes. Debian 13 or Ubuntu 26.04 for web servers, Rocky Linux for database, mail, DNS, backup and statistics. You keep the hardware; Kontrol7 sets up whatever jobs you give each server.

Which web server does it use?

Your choice per web server: nginx, OpenLiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Enterprise with your own licence, or Apache. Every site on that server is served the same way; PHP versions are chosen per site.

Does Kontrol7 need a login to my servers?

No. You add a server once with a pasted command, and after that it asks the panel what to run and reports back. Kontrol7 never SSHes into a server. Your customers reach their own site over SFTP with keys, locked to their own files.

What happens if the panel cannot be reached?

Websites, DNS and mail keep serving, because every server keeps its own copy of what to run. Until the panel is back, certificates are not renewed, backups do not run and you cannot add servers.

What happens if someone changes a setting by hand?

Kontrol7 puts it back and records that it did, so you hear about it from the report rather than from a customer. Every change is checked before it goes live, and a failed change leaves the previous state intact.

Can I move customers in from cPanel or Plesk?

Yes. Upload an archive, see what Kontrol7 found in it, approve, and the site is built on one of your servers. Mail moves message for message from any IMAP server, and where a mailbox archive from your old panel carries each password in a form Kontrol7 can read, the mailbox keeps it.

Does Kontrol7 include billing?

No. Kontrol7 has no billing of its own: any billing system can place orders through the API and read monthly usage.

Can my resellers use their own branding?

Yes. Their branding, their nameservers and their own panel address with its own certificate.

How do updates arrive?

Through our licensed release channel. Each release is signed and checked before it is installed, and your servers then update from your own panel.

What happens if my licence lapses?

Servers and sites already running keep running. Adding servers and receiving updates need a current licence.
