Give your team access to your account
Invite colleagues to your client area with their own login, choose what each person can see and do, and require two-factor sign-in.
You can let other people use your client area without sharing your password. Each person signs in with their own login and sees only the parts you give them.
Only the account holder can invite people, change what they may do, or remove them.
Invite someone
- In your client area, select Profile, then the Users tab.
- Under Invite someone, enter Their email address.
- Under What they may do, tick what they need (see below).
- Select Send invitation.
They get an email with a link that works once and lasts seven days. Inviting the same address again replaces the earlier invitation.
What you can give
| Permission | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Billing | Invoices, payments and saved cards |
| Ordering | The shop, the cart and checkout |
| See services | Services, servers and their usage |
| Manage services | Power, reinstall, upgrades, consoles and passwords |
| See domains | Domains and their DNS |
| Manage domains | DNS changes, nameservers, transfers and renewals |
| Support | Opening and replying to tickets |
| Account details | The profile on invoices, contacts and reviews |
Ticking Manage services includes See services, and Manage domains includes See domains.
What the person you invite does
The link in the email opens a page that lists what they will be able to do.
- If they already have a login with that email address, they select Sign in to accept, then Accept the invitation.
- If they do not, they select Create my login to make a login of their own, with their own password, and then accept.
Once they have accepted, the account appears in the switcher in the top bar of their client area. Each login can belong to more than one account, and they switch between them there. They see only the menu items they were given.
Change what someone may do
- Go to Profile, then Users.
- Under People with access, tick or untick boxes for that person.
- Select Save. The change applies from their next click.
Each person must keep at least one permission. To take everything away, remove them instead.
Remove someone
Select Remove next to their name and confirm. They lose access to your account straight away. Their own login, and any account of their own, are not affected.
To cancel an invitation that has not been accepted, select Withdraw next to it under Invitations not yet accepted. The link in their email stops working.
Require two-factor sign-in for everyone
- Turn on two-factor sign-in for yourself first, under Profile, then Security.
- Go to Profile, then Users.
- Tick Require two-factor sign-in for everyone on this account.
From then on, anyone on the account without two-factor sign-in can reach only their own settings until they turn it on. That includes you. The list of people shows Two-factor on or No two-factor next to each name, so you can see who still needs to set it up.
