Cancel a service
Stop a service from renewing, keep using it until the end of what you paid for, and change your mind before it closes.
Cancelling stops a service from renewing. It keeps running until the end of the time you have already paid for, and then it is closed. You cancel from your client area, under Billing.
Cancel a hosting service
- In your client area, select Billing.
- Select the Subscriptions tab.
- Under Recurring subscriptions, find the service and select Cancel.
- Read the confirmation. It names the date your service stays active until. Confirm to cancel.
From that moment:
- the subscription stops renewing and nothing more is charged for it, including its add-ons;
- the service carries on as normal until the date shown;
- on that date the service is closed.
If an invoice was already raised for a period after the closing date and nothing has been paid on it, it is cancelled when the service closes.
The service's page in Services shows a notice with the date it closes.
Good to know: cancelling does not refund time you have already paid for. If you think a refund is due, open the paid invoice and select Request refund. A member of staff reviews every request.
Changed your mind
Until the closing date, you can keep the service:
- Go to Billing, then Subscriptions.
- Find the cancelled subscription. It shows Ends and the date.
- Select Keep it.
Your service carries on and renews as before.
Before the closing date
Take what you need off the service before it closes, for example a copy of your website files, databases and email. Do this from your control panel while the service is still running.
Cancel a server
A server in the Servers area has its own Cancel server button on its page.
Good to know: Cancel server destroys the server straight away. It does not wait for the end of the period, and it cannot be undone. Take a copy of anything you need first.
Domains
Domains do not appear under Recurring subscriptions with a Cancel button. To stop a domain renewing, open it under Domains and select Turn off next to Auto-renew.
Close your whole account
If you want to leave lbreeze altogether, cancel your services first, then delete your account under Data & privacy. See Download your data or delete your account.
